HelloEURO
Eases Your Transition To The Euro Currency
Heidi
Computers Limited has released HelloEURO, a Windows
program that converts world currencies in MS Office to
the euro.
Running from the Taskbar, it works on currency values in
MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, potentially any
database where there is an ODBC driver available
including MS Access. HelloEURO also converts currencies
within most applications that can handle the clipboard.
You simply highlight the amounts to be converted, press
a hot key and watch their conversion to euro in
seconds. The configuration wizard will guide you through
HelloEURO set-up step-by-step.
HelloEURO complies fully with third party euro
Compliance Test Data and uses euro compliant rounding.
While coming pre-loaded with all the major world
currencies and their symbols, it allows you to create
new currencies and symbols e.g. D, DM, DMK for
German Marks.
Rapidly changing exchange rates are easily downloadable
from the Internet.
HelloEURO has its own Triangulation Calculator allowing
conversion from one currency to another via the
euro, adhering to EU Triangulation Rules.
The Euro Calculator caters for ad-hoc calculations
displaying local currency against euro simultaneously.
HelloEURO's clever MS Excel formula-handling feature
allows you to convert all or only specific parts of a
formula. You simply tick the parts you wish to
convert.
Inserts the old unconverted value and the date and time
of conversion as a Comment in the Excel cell.
Inserts the old unconverted formula value and formula
itself as a Comment in the Excel cell as well as
the date and time of conversion on that cell.
Allows you to 'Wrap' formula cells with conversion
factor i.e. rather than converting many worksheets
containing linked formulae, you can simply 'Wrap'
those linked cells with the appropriate conversion
factor and see the converted amount as if you had
converted each sheet individually.
Allows you to retain your original Excel Cell Format.
You can display your converted amounts in a different
Font, Size, Colour and Style.
When running an Ms Excel conversion, you can:
- Replace values in cells
- Move OLD values BELOW selected cells
- Move OLD values to the RIGHT of selected cells
HelloEURO comes with a training presentation, extensive
examples and help manual.
HelloEURO is available in both End User and Developer
Edition. The Developer
Edition includes 3 ActiveX controls and a COM DLL.
Examples are supplied for
Access, Excel, Visual Basic 6,Visual C++ 6, Active
Server Pages and Visual J++.
HelloEURO runs happily on 32 bit version: Windows
98/NT/XP compliant, 32 MB RAM. P100 or better and needs
less than 8 MB of hard drive space.
